Abortion: Moral
[ send me this paper ]
5 pages in length. Life offers no guarantees; when it comes to pregnancy, myriad issues can arise that warrants the moral consideration of abortion. To bring an individual into the world who is physically or mentally deformed is an overwhelming challenge to both the parent and child. Modern technology has only recently in the timeline of man's existence allowed pregnant women to determine whether – as well as to what extent – their unborn babies might have birth defects. Choosing to abort a fetus who tests positive to any number of genetic or environmental complications is to relieve that individual from the troubling life he or she is bound to lead when thrust into an intolerant and judgmental society. Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Abortion: Why Abortion is Moral, Ethical and Should be Legal in Today’s Society
[ send me this paper ]
This is a 5 page paper discussing the morality, ethics and legality of abortion in today’s society. The debate over legal abortions is still considered controversial in many countries throughout the world yet millions of abortions still take place despite the fact that abortion is still illegal in many countries. The reason for the continuance of these abortions is simple. From a moral or ethical standpoint, abortion is actually a morally responsible decision by a woman in order to protect her own health and the medical profession has an ethical responsibility to support this protection of women’s health. From a religious standpoint, religions around the globe differ in their definition of what is considered a human being in regards to fetal maturity and abortion is widely accepted by many religions. Legally, countries should allow for the medical profession to provide safe medical clinics for women to obtain abortions in order to end the number of unnecessary deaths of women who must obtain abortions in unsafe environments and support the right of protection of women’s health.

Alcoholism / Sin .. Not A Disease?
[ send me this paper ]
A 26 page paper arguing that alcoholism, while manifesting physical symptoms and genetic changes, is not in itself a disease, but rather a sin. The genetic evidence that has been found quite likely is not the cause, but is rather the result of alcoholism, as those genetic defects have been found only in true alcoholics. While researchers are adept at describing the effects of other, less controversial, chemical compounds that arise and are manifested in changes of gene expression, they seem to be unable to apply the same methods of research to issues connected with alcoholism. Every recovering alcoholic who has been reconciled with his God, either through restitution of a prior relationship or his own first-time meeting understands the power of denial, and that denial of sin does nothing to diminish its existence. Bibliography lists 30 sources in 50 footnotes.

American Colleges Should Rank Themselves.
[ send me this paper ]
(5 pp) Current college accreditation methods must
change. College accreditation started off with
the right idea, but now college ivy now hides its
original goal and clouds an educational
institution's mission statement as well as its
methods towards accomplishing its perceived goals.
Part of this murkiness is that the evaluation team
or accreditors evaluate a college based on
collegiality and assistance, avoiding all hint of
comparisons among supposed equals. Comparisons of
multiple factors are necessary if parents and
students are to base their educational needs on
informed choices. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
